Yesterday, I went on my first hike in Clifton Gorge for 2010. the weather was spectacular, I only needed a light jacket. Holger, you might remember that we hiked in the gorge a couple times while you were here. I did not see Holgi the owl. :)
The waterfall was frozen and made a spectacular column of ice.
We have had a lot of snow melt lately, but there was still enough to make a pretty picture.
Along the way, I say a King Fisher. This is the first one that I have ever seen. The King Fisher made up for not seeing Holgi, the Owl. It was really great to be out in the woods. We pretty much had them to ourselves. If you have not gotten out this year, what is keeping you?

Hi Tim,
thank you for putting this on the blog. It brought some good memories back in my mind. You've showed me the gorge and I've been there several times with and without you. It is a really nice place to be and I enjoyed the silence and beautiful views every time I've been there.
