I had one afternoon in Zurich and unfortunately I had a cold as well. I needed to do some shopping so...
I ran up to the room and dropped off my bags. Down to the concierge to ask where the shopping district was so that I could get some swiss chocolate and pick up a gift for Jodi. Turns out that the shopping district was on the other side of the train station from where I had just come.
So I took a nice stroll along the river... of which I do not know the name... back to the railroad station and the shopping district.
Along the way, I passed the Swiss national museum. No time to dally, off to shop & then back to bed. This was the most sunshine I would see during my entire trip.
Through the train station... later, on the way home, I would stop here to have a burger at Burger King (I am so ashamed...).
Yay, on the other side of the train station was the shopping district. Within an hour, I had everything I needed and headed back to the hotel.
Back, through the train station, past a statue of somebody I never heard of.
Once again along the river to the hotel, where I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening in bed with my cold. the next morning I flew back to Dayton. So, that was my day in Zurich.
That is all that I have to say about Zurich.
